The club announced on Friday that Bradley Wright-Phillips would be leaving, I think many were expecting this sad announcement. Bradley who helped to propel the club to the top of the League One with his 21 goals in the 2010-2011 season was the clubs top goal scorer, therefore becoming a fans favorite. Though in some quarters some would call him lazy and in my opinion give him unjustified abuse, all strikers have droughts in their careers but to call him lazy? come on!

Unfortunately Wright-Phillips was unable to show the kind of goal scoring form in the Championship that he had the previous season in League One, so the club sent him on loan to Brentford where he scored 5 goals in 15 games. I was always hoping he would find some form and  be recalled, just was not to be.

I personally want to thank Bradley for all his hard work and wish him well at his new club, he’ll always be better than Shaun as far as I’m concerned.
