Don’t Forget Your Luck

I think most people will agree that it’s hard to not say we had a lot of luck last Saturday

When I first saw the Exeter goal that wasn’t , I immediately thought that’s in, and on later viewing my thoughts have not changed

Bad language has no place in football so although I thought it was harsh to give a straight red card to Nardiello’s  , the rules of the beautiful game clearly state bad language and abuse aimed at the officials will result in a red card

So let’s imagine the ref gave the goal, Charlton would be 1-0 down, and playing against an Exeter side with 11 men

There will be times this season when luck goes against Charlton, and the ref makes a call which stops us taking all 3 points out of a match. When this happens remember you have had as much luck for you as against but fans only tend to remember luck going against them

The key for us now is to keep scoring goals so when these decisions happen we win the game 2-1 rather than drawing 1-1 or losing 1-0
