The New Season Looms

Its been a busy few weeks for Charlton Fans eager for news of the Chris Powells rebuilding project, quite clearly coming in January gave the Charlton boss a chance to assess what he had, and work out what he needed to get the team playing the way he wants, there are several parrallels here with Gus Poyet at Brighton, and look what happend to them! I think there may be a few more new names before we start the season in August, no idea who they are though!

The close season has given the Charlton Live teams a chance to enjoy weekends without worrying who on earth we can coax, harrass, bully or in Benno’s case, bribe into the studio to talk to us, but we have not been ignoring each other, far from it, the younger members and myself have, following our humbling at the hands of the clubs media team, started playing 5-a-side on a weekly basis, and great fun it has been so far.  We have also managed to squeeze in a few planning meetings with Matt Wright, and we are nearly ready to unleash our plans to the CAFC faithful, we are hoping to cover as many of the pre-season games live if it is  possible, a lot depends on if the clubs we play against have ISDN lines, as soon as we know we will advertise it. We also have one or two interviews lined up and hopefully we will be able to have a chat with some of the players, old and new in the build up to the season.

Enjoy whats left of the summer, and we will see you all real soon
