What a good night, our first live audience show proved to be a winner, despite pre show sound issues all went very well, Eddie Youds and Jamie Reid turned out to be good guests for us, both giving there independent opinions on the past season, Eddie was keen to get the message across that Chris Powell is the right man for the job, he also felt the team were a bit soft and needed a couple of fighters in the team, Jamie was of the same opinion as were members of the audience.
Once the season had been reviewed it was time to chat with Eddie, some great stories came out, the one to listen out for is about the celebrations after the Play Off Final in 1998, and how the team got their hands on some Champagne.

Jamie was here for opinions and to plug his Legends night on May 26th in Maidstone, the guests are Keith Peackock and Derek Hales.

It was great to see so many of our listeners, amongst them were Damian who will tackle Mount Everest for Demelza next April and Bob Lawrence, Radio Caroline DJ and voice of countless tv shows. Community Coach and marathon runner Terry Peart was also in the audience and we got him to explain more about the Upbeats.

So thats our first season over, its been a really busy year for the team, and the break is now needed, but we have one final task, today see’s the Crossbar Challenge and 5-a-side against the Press Team, at the Training ground in Sparrows Lane, not sure how thats going to go, but we will have a go.

Here at Charlton Live we have taken the mick out of Matt, Gary and Tom, but behind all the mucking about and chicken noises is a great deal of respect, the Press Team have worked hard on our behalf all season, backed us all the way and got us all manner of guests, and the we are grateful to them, this does not stop us from going out and trying to thrash their sorry arses today!

Well thats it for the 2010/11 season, last nights show will be up on CAFC Player later this week, the photos from last night will appear here very soon and I know there are all sorts of audio clips waiting to be posted so keep checking here.
We will be back after the summer break and aiming to cover some of the pre-season friendlies.
Have a good summer and thank you for listening to us.
