Today has been a rollercoaster: from Colchester’s early goal to BWP’s dramatic winner I don’t think I’ve had such an emotional day supporting the club I love, well, since that fateful day in May some 14 years ago.
Listening to both CAFC Player and BBC Essex, hearing Sheffield Wednesday battering Colchester and Carlisle hitting the woodwork you just knew it was going to be our day when BWP popped up at the other end and put the Addicks ahead.
The celebrations will last into the night, but rest assured, Sir Chris will have them back focussed on Monday as they aim to put the cherry on the top and go up as champions.
One aim has been achieved, one more aim can be achieved. The next two home games are going to be so special. We’re already guaranteed an almost sell-out crowd for the game against the ‘Poolies. Let’s fill the Valley next Saturday and lose our voices as we cheer our side on to the ultimate goal of this magnificent season.
Remember the noise of 7,000 at Fulham, let’s deafen London and scream out for all to hear – the Reds are on their way back!
